Long time no update

Of course people start thinking, is this site dead or what? There hasn't been an update for several weeks, no articles and no examples. So let me give you an update on what's going on behind the curtains.

GMT - which is hosted by VS-HS - has moved us to a new and hopefully faster server. Which is a good move on their behalf, because we keep consuming processor power with our 2-3 thousand page loads a day or as much as 4000 pages on some special occasions. This effort is made by about 150 visitors a day, a part of those 3000 unique visitors that we get each month.

Our problem lies not in the amount of people that we attract, but the amount of people that choose to contribute; for example, this month we have had 163 visits lasting longer than an hour. Even though they probably read plenty of tutorials they more than likely made not comments and did not rate... these are things so easy to do, which will make this community a more live place. And it's so fast you can do it, you don't have to have time to write an article just to contribute.

BUT like I have hinted earlier the fault is mine, because I do not provide a good interface nor any good incentives for helping out. Like I said, there is a possibility - at least there is a wish from the administration - that there will be a GMT v.3 this summer. If so, I believe this place could flourish once again and enjoy a more mutual exchange of knowledge.

That's it for now, I just wanted you all to know that we're here and we're alive.
